Hypnosis Certification

2025

I expect to offer a Certification Course in April, 2025 in Madison, WI.

Why study hypnosis?

This course of study is excellent for those who seek career advancement and want to work with people in a private professional practice. It is also suitable for mental health professionals (therapists, counselors, social workers, nurses) and teachers who want to enhance their skills in facilitating change in people's lives.

The curriculum as designed by the National Guild of Hypnotists provides a complete, classical approach to hypnosis, which enables each student to rapidly become a practicing hypnotist specializing in weight control, smoking cessation and stress management for individuals as well as groups.

Since I feel a responsibility towards my students and all their future clients, I accept only a limited number of students in each class. In this way, I can ensure everyone will experience the personal attention and hands on practice for which I am renowned.  I developed an addenda to the NGH materials that more finely elaborates that information.  I also provide each student with a binder containing a variety of Inductions, Scripts, Forms (such as intake) and the programs I have developed and use with my clients.

The course consists of 100 credit hours. Classes are either 80 contact hours over four weekends or the Intensive class is 80 contact hours over 10 days. The remaining 20 credit hours are completed outside of class and reviewed during class. Each student is required to complete several outside projects to successfully complete the certification requirements.

Why study at The Labyrinth Center?

I have been teaching for over twenty years.  I only teach small classes and provide excellent additional written materials.  Evaluations by my students for the past five years have been "Excellent" on all accounts:  knowledge, preparation, effectiveness, enthusiasm, clarity, ability to explain underlying fundamentals and interest in students' learning as well as developing their self-confidence.
